At present breeding is focused on three colours, chocolate, lilac and cream; in solid colours and the tortie equivalents. Blue is occasionally available together with blue tortie. Brown will once again be available in the not too distant future.
The Burmese breeding is dedicated to conform to the Standard set down by Fife - Federations Internationale Feline as followed by The Cat Federation of Southern Africa - CFSA. Kittens are of both show and pet quality.
Bumi Cattery is very proud to advise kittens are born and bred in our home, in our bedroom,. The welfare of the kittens and their mother is paramount. They are socialized with general day to day happenings. This will hopefully help to carry them along in the great wide world when at least twelve weeks old. If flown, kittens are trained to be familiar with a flight box of upto an hour at a time. Kittens are also trained to be familiar with carrying cages and travelling boxes.. They are registered, inoculated and dewormed. They are registered with an attached breeding restriction which maybe lifted under certain circumstances.
Homing of kittens is exercised with careful selection. Prospective new owners are required to meet certain criteria in respect of dedication to the kitten's absolute safety, love, care and commitment for its entire lifespan. Where possible knew owners will personally take transfer of their precious purring puddykitt.
All new owners of Bumi kittens receive comprehensive information for the care and introduction to their homes at the time of the kitten's collection. Assistance and advise is always available either by phone or by e-mail.
Under certain circumstance, kittens may be flown on a short journey, but only at the age of 14 weeks when they will then be fully inoculated.
Prices are competitive, but variable with age and circumstances.
